This thoughtful approach is why we create high-quality, intentional products for everyday living, and why we took our time making the bed (literally). Wanting to perfect every stitch before launch, we’re thrilled to share that our highly-requested bedding collection arrives this April.
Reflecting on the development process, the bedding collection is something we’ve been working on with true excitement. For our designer Abbie Davis, it was a chance to have fun in the place where we start and end our day.
“We spent over a year designing our first bedding collection,” Abbie notes, reflecting on the process. “It was important to us that we developed a range that felt authentic and joyful, with countless configurations for people to personalise their space.”
With each bedding piece designed to be mixed and matched, Justin Kestelman—our CEO and Chief Comfort Officer—also wanted to honour the bedroom the Hommey way: by focusing on genuine comfort.
“I’ve always believed that the bedroom is the most essential part of what makes your space, a home," Justin says. "Our new bedding collection is designed to provide cloud-like comfort and a playful, exciting touch to your space. This includes bringing our iconic Hommey stripes into your bedroom for a real wow-moment."
These intentions are what guided the design, putting an emphasis on creating a range that was colourful, personable and inviting. “It wasn’t just the colours that were important to get right, but the materiality as well,” Abbie explains. “We wanted our bedding to be incredibly soft, to really evoke the feeling of floating on clouds.”
Crafted with 100% organic cotton that’s OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, the collection is stonewashed for this distinctly soft hand-feel. “The organic cotton is woven with a superior sateen technique for high breathability,” Justin notes. “This makes it a truly comfortable, conscious investment for years to come.”
Finished with colour-matched zippers and available in 12 curated shades, the bedding collection will be released on Tuesday 9th of April exclusively at gethommey.com.
